CEDIM 3D

(2024)

THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: For an internationally prestigious design school, every single asset must reflect the same brilliance and creativity they nurture. That’s why we developed striking 3D visuals as part of their master’s programs identity.

The Challenge

Stock images had long been part of CEDIM’s assets. From the start, we all knew something had to change to fully reflect the school’s prestige—and above all, its uniqueness. That’s when we saw an opportunity within their master’s programs identity. We knew we had to create something unexpected. But then the key question arose: How could we fully conceptualize each program through abstract visuals?

The Outcome

We imagined colors. Staying true to CEDIM’s claim, we decided to think the unthinkable. That’s when we also imagined shapes, textures. Everything, all at once. We imagined in 3D. The result? A unique, and almost unseen, way of presenting an academic program in Mexico. Why not let everyone know this is how things are done at CEDIM? Take a look: cedim.edu.mx.

Modeling

Brand world: A community of creators More than a school, a community. That became clear to us when we worked with CEDIM to update their website, (although it seemed like we had started from scratch!).We quickly realized that this sense of community extends into everything they create.

Since 1978, CEDIM has been a leading force in design and creative thinking— first in Monterrey, Mexico, and now on a global scale. Their innovative studio model, rooted in working on real projects for real clients, undoubtedly played a key role in the success of this collaboration. Just creatives, working hand in hand with creatives.

The result: a creative, almost unseen way of presenting an academic program. We were already working on CEDIM’s website rebuild when we noticed some stock images, sitting way too comfortably on their master’s program pages, practically begging to be removed and replaced! We decided to listen. Definetely something had to be done there.

Did you know that very few design schools in Mexico show an interest in 3D art as a form of promotion? At first, we were surprised too—but we quickly saw it as an opportunity for both CEDIM and us to push the boundaries and innovate. We fully explored each program and translated it into 3D animation in a process that went from conceptualization to animation, modeling, and rendering. That final stage, so close to completion, brought that unique thrill of seeing everything take shape on screen. This was a project that demanded time, care, and deep collaboration. After all, as a creative consultancy, it’s not every day you get to work with international-level creatives!
